Who are we?
We are a local church – a community of ordinary people – on a mission to see the Gospel (the good news about Jesus Christ) proclaimed to more than 50,000 people living in the town of Macclesfield, now part of Cheshire East in the United Kingdom.
Why Silklife?
The word 'silk' is synonymous with the town of Macclesfield which was at one time the world's biggest producer of finished silk. We chose the name 'Silklife' because we're committed to seeing the life and lives of our local community and beyond transformed by the power of God. We're here for the long haul and our intention is to keep on growing as we serve the global purposes of God by serving our local community in Macclesfield.
Meeting together
We meet at 10.30am every Sunday morning at the Silklife Centre in Macclesfield town centre. We also meet in growth groups on either Tuesday or Thursday evenings.

Alpha course
Alpha is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith. It’s relaxed, low key, friendly and fun. It’s a place where people can come and ask questions, delve into issues and look for answers together.
We will be starting our next Alpha course with a free meal at The Townhouse on King Edward Street in Macclesfield at 7.30pm on Tuesday 7 February 2012. To book your place, or for more information, please email alpha@silklife.co.uk or call 07983 391175.
